Would be a good addition as scoring I feel could be their downfall in the playoffs .

While it is speculation at this stage, the addition of Martin would give us another unique weapon to throw out there.
Snell and Dunleavy are essentially made redundant by having Butler/Moore/Hinrich/McDermott/Mirotic/Brooks for depth at the SG/SF positions.
What Bulls would be doing here is a small upgrade and going into win now mode.
Developing more players isn't needed at this stage.
I'm not wrapped that we will have to keep him for 3 seasons at around 8 mill, but he does fill a need.

Am I the only one who doesn't think this is a great deal for Chicago?

I'm slightly on the positive end. But I can easily convince myself the other way too
I keep telling myself that his defense will be a non-issue if he has the defensive players around him.
IF he stays healthy, he can only help I suppose. The 3 years left on his 8 mill contract is a bit of a concern for an injury prone player.

I don't know why the Wolves would give up Martin, they're gonna need his scoring. I don't think LaVine is ready to contribute and Wiggins ain't no 20ppg player right now.

They won't be competing for anything this year.
From their end, looks like a salary dump and a low risk move to see Snell develop.

Re: Bulls officially offer deal for Kevin Martin?
Only downside of this potential deal is basically giving away Snell.
I like him and think he could have a real good year this year. He's a csth and shoot players, he's athletic, he's long so it could help his defensive development later on, and he must have something because Thibs never plays rooks and Snell got some quality PT last season.
But if we make this deal it pushes us up closer to the "Championship or bust" tier.
Rose/Martin/Butler/Gasol/Noah
Brooks/Hinrich/McDermott/Mirotic/Gibson
That lineup with that depth is the perfect mix of offense & defense, athleticism &, shooting, and youth & veteran leadership. It'll really put a lot of expectation on the club.

Bulls get 2 good things out of this. One, another scorer that can take pressure off of Rose from the perimeter, and two, Bulls fans/players won't have to see Snells ugly ass on the sidelines this year.
If this doesn't happen, I'd be a terribly disappointed Bulls fan.
