Duncan is shameless. Ring chasing beta just slipped from 8 to 16 on my alltime list.

So basically what Robinson did to Duncan. So in 15+ years from now, LMA is going to do the same to the next, great Spurs big man.

Re: Duncan coming back at discount price so they can sign LMA
typical haters gonna hate... report could be "Duncan wakes up at home to get cup of water from kitchen" and haters would be like, come on Duncan don't you know you're supposed to drink oj!! overrated!! ... But yeah, glad to hear Duncan is coming back in general, let alone at a financially friendly price

Re: Duncan coming back at discount price so they can sign LMA
8 mill/year should be enough...if he takes less than 8 mill he's a dumbass because they still won't be able to sign LMA if they're maxing out Leonard.

Good guy Tim Duncan making personal sacrifices for the good of the team. First carrying Tony Porker to 4 rings, now allowing the team to pursue free agents to revitalize San Antonio and turn them into a contender. Kobe could learn something. Tim Duncan, hold this W.

Agreed. Laker fans are really the last one who should be talking shit.

They can sign Leonard to the max and still get Aldridge

He's been shamelessly taking all these paycuts to stack the deck even more the past decade and STILL has yet to surpass kobe in ringcount .

Not if they're paying Manu and Duncan 6-8 mill/year
they'd also have to get rid of Splitter's and/or Diaw's 8.5 mill contract and let Danny Green walk which they could obviously but it will take a mini-overhaul to their roster.

The number being throw around for Duncan is less than $4M which is kinda crazy.. If manu comes back in sure it's only only to be around the vet minimum so you might be looking at $6M for both Duncan and manu. That being said there is also a chance Leonard takes a discount too.. Given if everyone else does then maybe he might feel like contributing that way as well.. I still think splitter will be traded for something they can waive.. If this all falls into place.. Marco is gone and they may still have 6-8M left to sign Danny green (again this is a discounted price as well)
Taking less money is such a spur thing to do so I wouldn't be surprised to see the lot follow suit

So much stupid. Duncan > Kobe in every possible positive measure, now and forever. Duncan may be contending next season while Kobe and the Lakers stagnate in the lottery for another year, buried under the weight of a ridiculous contract. Tim Duncan holding another W, Tim Duncan stays winning.

To be fair, it seems to be more Kobe stans than legitimate Lakers fans. Still, it's ridiculous to be talking shit.
