MJ > Kobe. MJ and Shaq would easily be the most unstoppable duo ever. A prime Shaq pairing up with the greatest?... Those Lakers would comfortably win 5 or more championships in that time span.

Safe to say Shaq would win FMVP every time as well.

MJ was still the best player in the league in 97 & 98, so id bet on him winning FMVP during those years.

kobe is the only guy in nba history that could successfuly averagge 30+ as a second option

no other player can do what kobe did without disrupting the offense

if you put jordan on LA and gave him 30+ averages. shaq turns into a 20ppg pippen

and if shaq is given the #1 option role. then jordan gets turned into a 20ppg pippen

only kobe could drop historic numbers and not make the team worse

kobe and shaq perfectly complimented each other due to kobe being an outside catch and shoot/slasher/playmaker/point guard

jordan was a post player. he played shaqs role. how can you have 2 guys who do the exact same thing in the triangle and think itel be successful

    sorry

MJ was better than Kobe in all those aspects of the game except outside shooting right. Wouldn't even matter anyways because MJ was a better off the ball player than Kobe and Would have no problem finding himself easy buckets on midrange or in the paint. Exactly like how he was doing with Pippen.

I don't know about that. By 98 MJ was still more skilled, but Shaq was the more dominant player. Jordan had some pretty poor shooting games in the 98 playoffs, including the Bulls game 7 win over the Pacers in the ECF. If him and Shaq were together at this stage of Jordan's career the smart thing to do would be playing through Shaq.

    Assuming championships with the following:

'85 Jordan on 1997 Lakers: Maybe
'86 Jordan on 1998 Lakers: Possible
'87 Jordan on 1999 Lakers: Probable
'88 Jordan on 2000 Lakers: Definite
'89 Jordan on 2001 Lakers: Easily
'90 Jordan on 2002 Lakers: Easily
'91 Jordan on 2003 Lakers: Definite
'92 Jordan on 2004 Lakers: Easily

So, I'd guess a bankable 5 rings, with a potential for 1 or 2 more depending on the circumstances.

    sorry
And yet, Kobe didn't average 30 once on those three-peat teams...and they won 2 with Kobe shooting under .520
    TS%.

Prime Jordan would never average 25/6/5/.527 TS% over three consecutive years...with or without Shaq.

Personality plays a big part. MJ was a big alpha asshole. No doubt he's going to irk Shaq about his...laziness. Shaq was a big immature alpha. If he had trouble with Kobe, imagine how much trouble he'll have with MJ. I'd guess the team implodes within 3 years.

he averaged 35ppg vs the kings in the 2001 playoffs

he averaged 33ppg vs your spurs in the 2001 playoffs

he averaged 31ppg over the 1st three rounds of the 2001 playoffs

all i said was he COULD average 30ppg without disrupting the team or shaqs stats

you dumb ****. i never said he did for the entire 3 years or even an entire season.

you're just jealous cause your boy tim duncan is used to averaging less than 20ppg... which he is... for his ENTIRE CAREER

without even having 2 years on the bench like kobe to **** with his averages

duncan started his entire career and averages 19 shitty points

imagine if duncan was benched behind an allstar his 1st 2 years. his average would drop to 15ppg career

what a loser. this kid is really melting down over an nba player? and he's like 30 years old.

kobe in 00 was a role player. mj would have easily won. kobe in 02 played bad defense and was inefficient as ****.

prime mj with shaq 8 peats. you have no evidence that he couldn't work well with shaq. go ahead and post some.
