I admittedly stick to old school rap. Late 80s up to maybe late 90s. Once in awhile some of 50 cent's stuff in the early 2000s for nostalgia. 50 Cent's popularity around NYC was ridiculous back then. Even kids in elementary school were singing along to his songs. I always found this to be kind of odd once I grew up because when 50 Cent got popular is when NYC started to be seen as the "safest big city in America." That "gangsta" lifestyle never left NYC.
