I see where you're coming from, and if Ibaka plays it smart, he might bother Dirk's shot, but guess what happens to OKC's paint defense when Ibaka gets pulled out to thd three point line on pick-n-roll defense ? See how that hurts the team more ?

And in all reality, Dirk would recognize Ibaka's length and shot blocking, and Ibaka would get played like a puppet with footwork, fakes, etc. Ibaka would no doubt get in foul trouble guarding Dirk, and Ibaka in foul trouble is not a winning strategy for OKC.
