I forget who said it, may have been in Simmons' book, but I agree that Kobe is the best split-second shot maker of the two. He has a much more natural/pure shot than Jordan, and more range, and seems to do a better job getting it off cleaner. If there was <2 seconds, give me Kobe. If there are >2 seconds, I won't complain, but I'd prefer Jordan.

To say MJ should win by a landslide is stupid because Kobe has hit more game-winners than him. It should be very close. I think it's the nostalgia speaking. People like to say MJ as an answer for everything just for the sake of saying MJ.

You can compile a lot of game winners when you're constantly taking those shots. No one remembers the ones they missed. Do they have a list of both players when they missed to see who's missed more?

Anyway, Jordan has shown me he can hit that shot when the stakes are highest. He wins for that reason alone.

I really don't see why Laker fans are so angry at people disputing the controversial call.

If the call had gone the other way and the Lakers lost, the forums would be overrun the same way with Laker trolls.

I have to give credit to Kobe for his clutch play, but I think he's dominating the ball too much lately, especially when you consider his injury. With his finger injury and the talent on his team, there's no reason for him to look to score that much. With less talent and better health last season he averaged 26.8 ppg and won 65 games. He's also had 7 and 8 turnovers in the last 2 games, respectively. He has to let his teammates get more involved, particularly Bynum who isn't getting enough touches.

Also all those threads exist because there are alot of lakers haters, mods included (StroShow) who stickies anti-laker threads, who want to distract people from the fact Kobe hit 2 buzzer beating game winners in 2 weeks.

He walked on that game winner.. Kobe is still 16-60 in game winning opps in since 2003... Considering Kobe made 5 game winners in the 2003-2004 season it is not great..

Still he takes advantage of the stuff he gets.. Not all are able to do that... Ray allen is the best clutch shot maker in the league.. Not even close..

Well, both combos have won it all. Although Boston beat L.A. handily, I would say that both combos are about equal.
