It'll get worse once the playoffs inch closer.

People don't realize that FT homestead is half of Harden's game, take it away and he's back to looking average.

I don't think I've considered a loss the refs fault in the last 3+ years. I remember back when the Grizz sucked, it was common to blame the refs and to always be whinging or frustrated but that's part of a losing mentality to blame it on someone.

That's one of the best things I like about this team, whether the calls go their way or not they don't let it affect them, they just play through it. And there's been plenty to whinge about as well, especially when you go up against a team like the Thunder in the playoffs year after year. There's YT clips of Durant getting and 1's when he wasn't even touched. Like 10cm of air between his elbew and the defenders arm.

In conclusion.. you win some, you lose some.. some calls go your way and some don't, but the Rockets have that loser mentality. I thought it was just the coach or their commentators but as this thread shows.. even their fans have it.

Will they post online petitions or protest the game like the Kings did?

In a similar theme, I've never negged anyone on these forums before.

Someone got butthurt enough to neg me for my post about this game.. sorry if I hurt your feelings. Some people are so sensitive.

Within a few days, Rockets will have won another game and all will be forgotten.

    It's gonna be ok.

Harden Score 8pts in FT out 27pts - 19 non FT pts
Curry Score 4pts in FT out 24pts - 20 non FT pts
Lebron James Score 6pts in FT out 26pts - 20 non FT pts

    Yes you are right.

So, the officiating is going to get worse than that?

    Damn.

I know it may seem (just kidding it really doesnt) like 9 FTA attempts per game is a lot, but when you consider he takes the majority of Houston's shots, controls the ball for the majority of Houston's possessions, and takes probably 99.5% of late game free throws (good for 2-4 per game when you win as consistently as they do), you really have nothing to bitch about.

Im going to do a you a solid though. Since I am slowly but surely educating those who dont know (I am looking at you)...

Harden averages 9.5 FTA per game.

There were 8 players who average 6.9 FTA per game.

I know you will probably cry anyway, but are we really complaining about 2.5 attempts per game? 2 points?

Westbrook averages 9.2 FTA per game, are all his fouls not legit?

If you want to bitch, bitch about Derozan, who averages 18 points per and gets 7 FTA per game. That means, a third of his points are free throws.

    Your welcome.

For the record, Houston's free throw record per offensive play ranks right around the middle of the field (12th) and their FTA per FGA ranks right around the middle as well (#9)....

And their opponent fouls are right in the middle too (#14th).

Meaning when you adjust for the pace they play, they dont get any more free throws, or any more foul calls than anyone else. Its just usually Harden with the ball in his hands.

    Educate yourself.
