I'm thinking this could improve the coaching staff. Ty can get another one of his guys in there ideally a big man coach I'd think. Sanders could move to the bench.

David Locke: One
name to consider for Jazz assistant - Eric Musselman.
His late father
was Ty's head coach in Minnesota - Eric is D- League HC right now. Musselman is
known as a huge preparation guy - when in Sacramento he did many things with
film preparation that were unprecedented Twitter
He'd be a great pick. I believe I mentioned him last go around. He can coach especially defensively as could his dad.

Assuming no one stands in his way Jefferson's time in Utah should be coming to an end as he watches the video and crunches the numbers!
Well that blog post link you posted before did enough of a job proving his defensive problems. Quickly, someone send him a link!

Doesn't sound like you could go wrong with either. Maybe go with Mussleman as he's got a bit more experience? Livingston only has a few years experience as a D-League coach, add him with Hornacek and you've got two of your three assistants who've only been coaching for 2-3 years each.

Mussleman was just hired by Arizona but I'm sure he'd jump at the chance to come back to the NBA. Along with Lowe he has head coaching experience and could be a good candidate if things don't work out with Corbin. He did a great job in GS before the players ran him out of town. In Utah management has a history of backing their coaches going back to Layden though in todays game it's getting harder to do. Corbin might be familiar with Mussleman from Minnesota too? Still think a big man coach might make the most sense though

Kevin Martin is the obvious choice, he's not happy in Houston and wants to be traded. No big risk as he's also on an expiring contract and he could resign for half of what he's making now when he's a FA. Maybe try and get one of thisr young 1st round picks with him, but they might need to free up a roster spot to do that with Bell still hanging around.
Martin was the obvious choice before they filled out the roster. Now they need a young pg and a veteran big man.

Jefferson would probably fit in well with Houston. He'd be playing alongside Asik, who has no offensive game, but would be able to cover for Jefferson's poor D.
Yes and McHale likes him. Might have to get another team or two involved.

Sanders promoted to the bench. Jerry's nephew on board again. He's had some success at the D-league level.

Promoting Michael Sanders

"I think I was fortunate last year being able to get
Mike as a player development coach. With his experience as a player; the fact
he’s been a bench coach in this league. … I thought he did a great job with Enes
and Derrick, even Al and Paul. After practice, getting them shots in the post
and teaching. Working with Enes, especially, on how to use his body some, using
low-post moves, and got him up to speed. When we started camp, I didn’t know if
we was going to have the opportunity to play Enes in the beginning of training
camp. And he continued to work with Mike and did a good job of learning —
we were able to get him in the games some last year. I’m extremely happy with
the work Mike has done so far."

Adding a specific big-man coach

"We’re going to do it by committee. If there’s an
opportunity to add a piece or two here down the road, we’ll explore that. But
the way things are right now, I’m happy with the guys I have on staff. The guys
have done a good job; adding Brad will be an addition for us. We’re in a good
place, in my opinion
I certainly didn't expect anything from Kanter last year based on what was being said about him as a project and you could definitely see the work he was putting in from game to game. Be interesting to see how far he comes with an off-season and full camp and pre-season.
