Would anyone still take Oden over Bynum?
I made a thread like a month or 2 ago about how I'd take Bynum easily over Oden and many people acted like that was crazy. Now Bynum is averaging 12.5 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 2.1 bpg, 1.6 apg on .625 FG% in just 29.0 mpg. Bynum is just 3 months older and he is 2 inches taller not to mention he will have 3 years of nba experience and 3 years of training with Kareem under his belt before Oden even plays an NBA game despite Bynum being the same age.

This is just my opinion, but I think Oden will have a injury career..I'll take Bynum over Oden

i have the same feeling not based on anything(not currrent injury) but just gutt instinct
that said i wonder what theyre wingspans are compared to each other. Bynum has one of the longest wingspans i've seen since Mutombo and hes at least got meat on his bones too

Re: Would anyone still take Oden over Bynum?
Bynum actually had his wingspan measured 7'6" when he was drafted and since he has grown to 7'1" barefoot his wingspan could be longer. Shaq actually has a 7'6" wingspan but his arms are so huge it doesn't seem like it.

Pointless thread..lets actually see the beast play a year or two first.

Re: Would anyone still take Oden over Bynum?
Oden simply doesn't have the offensive skill Bynum does.

Re: Would anyone still take Oden over Bynum?
The only reason I would take Bynum over Oden is because of the injury issues.
Otherwise no, Oden should be the superior player and was better than Bynum coming out of high school.

He was better than Bynum coming out of high school because Bynum was 17 and had been playing for like a year or 2.

I'll take a healthy Oden. But, I don't think we're gonna get one. So, Bynum for me.

Andrew Bynum versus Greg Oden. One looks 14, the other looks 40.

Re: Would anyone still take Oden over Bynum?
oden is a beast hell make bynum feel like hes 18 again
-
Re: Would anyone still take Oden over Bynum?
bynum has been very impressive this season, love the assertiveness on the post. but i'm interested to see exactly what greg's added to his game while he's been hurt. jordan developed a jumper during his injured year. so did amare. bird built a passing game. if oden can retain the athleticism / defense and add a nice facet he may come out of the gate running. or he might be broken forever like a lot of people in this thread seem to expect.

Oden > Bynum
Said that, and Oden hasn't even played one game. Imagine when he actually plays how good he will be!

I wonder who would be taken if all the league's GMs were polled.
