The funniest thing is how some people think he was undersized or something. He was almost as tall as Garnett when he was in his 70's.

Oh I was seeing your deleted post. I can see what you delete if you didnít know. Like a day or two ago when you misunderstood something I said and thought I was somehow complaining about a Zion Williams comparison athletically to Kemp then deleted it. I generally ignore such things.

On a related note you would be amused to learn how often someone posts something they meant to post as an alt. They delete it then repost on a new name and have no idea I can see the first post. I always ignore it if nobody noticed.

i deleted it because it was unnecessarily long. i made a post summing it all up in 3 sentences because i no longer care to enlighten you on common sense/context

someone else can explain the horry vs jordan vs russell context

Most people just have them as ban insurance which youíre hardly in any position to complain about. Though I will credit you for using the same kind of name so you donít pretend to be somebody different when you have to change it.

why would i have needed stalker to ask for this one to be activated or unbanned if i had any access to an alt

i made a bunch of names over a year that never got activated... emailing is useless... i dunno how simon got so many... he must have made 5,000 to get 20 activated

Bill Russell is an all-time great, but when you compare him to Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Hakeem and Moses Malone, the thing that stands out is his lack of scoring. It's not just that he didn't score nearly as much, it's that he was inefficient. He has a career 44 FG%.

If you put Wilt on those Celtics teams, do you think he's 13.4 on 44% for his career? I don't. We saw what Wilt was like on a stacked 76ers team: 27.6 on 58.3% with 6.8 assists.

Kareem would have put up similar offensive numbers as well.

So where to rank Bill Russell? It's really hard to say, because those Celtics teams did have a lot of talent. Cousy, Jones and Hondo were very good HOF players. Is Bill Russell winning titles every year on the Warriors instead of Wilt? I doubt it.

But he was the best winner of all-time in the sport, so I'm fine with top 5.

So you're telling me that 13.3 on 44% should be considered better than 30.1 on 54%, when Wilt was just as good if not better rebounder, shot blocker and passer?

Bill Russell was an inefficient scorer. When Wilt was put in a role where he didn't need to score as much, his shooting and assists sky rocketed. Wilt was extremely efficient on the 76ers and Lakers. And he played the Bill Russell defensive role for the Lakers.

Happy belated 85th to Bill Russell, arguably the greatest defensive player in the game's history and basically did nothing but win his entire college and professional career.
