A. That 2 billion is just one guy connected to Putin not all of the money Putin stole. Bill Browder is an investor who had his lawyer killed by Russian intelligence because he stumbled upon a tax theft scheme, estimates Putin's net worth at 200 billion. Spain is a country where a lot of Russian money is stored. Putin is said to be the owner of this mansion
B. 2.3 trillion never went 'gone.'
The technology revolution has transformed organizations across the private sector, but not ours, not fully, not yet. We are, as they say, tangled in our anchor chain. Our financial systems are decades old. According to some estimates, we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions. We cannot share information from floor to floor in this building because it's stored on dozens of technological systems that are inaccessible or incompatible.
This was basically about being able to run a proper audit of the Pentagon, many transactions were not entered properly or did not use the proper accounting. They money was still there, they had to clean up the paperwork and eventually they did.

Re: Panama Papers reaction
The fact that Rumsfeld even said 2.3 Trillion is unaccounted for should raise an
eyebrow... but no, apparently it's all accounted for. Nothing to see there.
Anyways... about these Panama Papers...
this is legit.
Serious Business.
makes me wonder what the true motive is behind this anonymous source.
top story on Abovetopsecret.com and that's a popular forum.

Re: Panama Papers reaction
I wanted time to research this before I respond and I'm finding the site very hard to navigate.
They haven't even leaked who is involved.
EDIT: Found some names but mostly politicians.
Most notable....Messi and Jackie Chan.

That's what I thought...
and I'm also not sure what is to come from all of this,... but it has potential to be huge.

That was my first thought...

Re: Panama Papers reaction
This is really nothing new. People have been doing this for years. I have first heard about this 10 years ago when I was approached by someone I thought was a friend about this. It wasn't related to this specific company but it had the same concept.
It's just that this company had the most clients and now they got caught.

It's not propaganda when there are data and information. The world does have a right to know.

He meant more like a United States counter-intelligence-program.
or a black-op
still works just the same as propaganda...
It's still hard for me to connect dots on this one... must read the ATS forums
before I even begin to suggest why this just happened.

yeah, it did raise an eyebrow and it took them years to work through it.
Also it's 2.3 trillion of transactions, which means that every transaction would get counted at least twice on multiple sides of the leger. Probably more than just twice because it was multiple systems not interconnected.
2.3 trillion is several years worth of the entire military budget. For it to go POOF would mean no soldiers got paid for like 5 years in a row. It would have been noticed.
