Let us put it like this. I highly doubt Kirby would win any championships if he had Wade`s cast from 2003 till 2010 or Lebrons cast from 2003 to 2010.

I don't overly rely on accolades rank players because I think there is very thin separation among the top 50 players. Players that played for great front offices gravitate to the top of the list if too much importance is put on titles.

Personally I have Kobe in the 7-13 range along with Shaq, Duncan, Hakeem, LeBron, West, Big O.

I don't think it is crazy to put him in the borderline top 5 but I think it is a stretch. However, I don't think it is a stretch to have closer to top 15.

Overall I feel he is closer to top 5 than 15 but I feel a lot of the top 20 players could of duplicated his results playing for a GOAT front office.

Kobe never dominated the league relative to the above players. His longevity is a benefit of modern era medical science. Going forward players will have longer careers. I mean his knee problems from a few seasons ago would of been very problematic just a decade prior.
