Default '96 Bulls vs Current Warriors: Which team had more TALENT?

    Jordan
    Curry

    Pippen
    K. Thompson

    Rodman
    D. Green

    Kukoc
    Iguodala

    Longley
    Bogut

    Harper
    Barnes

Rest of the Cast: Livingston, Ezeli, Barbosa vs Kerr, Wennington, Buechler

From the looks of it, Chicago had the better 1-2 punch in Jordan & Pippen, but looking the rest of the roster 3-9 it seems like Golden State has more talent by a good margin. Is that a fair assessment?

Similar. Hard comparing player to player since the roles each player played doesn't line up the way you intended in your first post.

I'd say Green is more in line with Pippen than he is Rodman. I get the whole hustle aspect, but as far as their offensive and defensive roles.

Depending on how you switch the players around I think you'll find an infinite loop of one player being > the other. Apart from the constant that is MJ>Curry, although this season Curry has been as good as anyone ever.

Shaun Livingston probably had more talent than Pippen but he got injured. So did his talent level drop too? Can a person's talent change?

That is very debatable, outside of rebounding Draymond Green is better at every aspect of the game than '96 Rodman.

and Scottie Pippen is better than Curry at everything but scoring.. who cares?? Those type of claims are just silly

Rodman played ATG level defense and was arguably the FMVP for the bulls in 96. The opposing teams coach was even calling him MVP of the game after game 2

Karl laughed. "Yeah, he kept missing and Rodman kept getting the rebound," Karl said. "Maybe that's a play they were running. Take 20 seconds off, then take another 20 seconds off. Give him credit. He was their m.v.p. tonight."
What's more, Karl is thinking seriously of changing his defensive rotation in order that Rodman can be blocked off the boards. "Jordan will get his points, but Rodman's rebounds, that was the difference."

Warriors have more depth, but if the Bulls are healthy, I believe their top-heavy talent prevails.

With the old rules? Chicago take Thompson completely out of the game.

The Warriors are obviously more talented. Besides the fact that Jordan is better than Curry and Pippen better than Clay...the Warriors are better and by a significant margin. Longley to Bogut, Harper to Barnes? LOL.

The thing is....Curry has Pippen beat in the most important aspect of basketball which is scoring. Rebounding is important, but give me Green's versatility over '96 Rodman any day.

Stopping scoring is just as important as scoring. Defense is just as important as offense.

Get real, elite scorers will always score no matter who guards them. I've seen Pippen get torched several times by legit scorers.

You people who never watch the Warriros need to shut up about our depth. Our bench pissed away a 30pts lead which led to Klay's injury and give up 15pts again against the Suns in the 4th quarter.
Mo has been terrible, Iggy is passive as usual, Ezeli is a sub-par backup center.

I wasn't even going by an individual player basis, but just stating that they are equally important.

the Bulls have enough talent on MJ's pinky than all of the Warriors combined

let's not ask Pip and Rodman to emasculate these ladies more.
