Obviously Trump's lawyers and advisors told him that declaring emergency for the wall will get stopped by the courts. They told him he will not be able to do it. I suspect Schumer and Pelosi had original script to refute emergency declaration. When lil Donny scrubbed it, they scrubbed that piece of their response too. Now we end up with a whole lot of nothing.

There will be no wall. Trump is stuck now. He can't say he is backing down to his base, and he can't say he is going through with it by declaration of emergency. He is trying to stall hoping to be saved somehow. McConnell is also in a hole, but he will have to save Trump.

They easily could've pushed the funding for it before Dems took control of the house, in their own words it's a small amount. The truth of the matter is we already have several hundred miles of barriers along the border that the Dems voted for. Both Obama and Hillary were all for increasing the length of barriers as were most Dems in congress, that is until Donny became POTUS. Now they are against anything that he is for.

That being said I don't know why Trump doesn't agree to funding portions of the gov. while wall negations go on.
