The most ferocious competitors? All NBA players are competitive but I'd probably go for jerry west's list for the competitors of competitors.

Russell/west/bird/Kobe/Jordan.

They would grind and bleed and die to win.

Of those guys its probably Jordan on top. Magic and Barkley played with them during dream team. Horace grant played with Jordan and Kobe and speaks of Kobe's ruthlessness.

And all three have said that Michael Jordan is the most competitive person they've ever met.



Pathological problem? Maybe. But for sports its not a bad thing.

I respectfully disagree. Competitive killer, yes. All NBA players are competitive. But (ignoring pre-2013, since people can learn competitiveness):

Down 10 points in fourth quarter with 5:30 left. He refuses to give up, dives and steals and scores 12 points (no 3 pt line either) then 2 free throws to win the game in regulation.
