    Default Honest question for Lazeruss

Is there anything in Wilt's career you feel he deserves criticism for (besides free throw shooting)? Any playoff series you felt he underperformed or failed to come through in the clutch?

Obviously his FT shooting was poor...albeit, it was serviceable in the first half of his career. BTW, we have several accounts of Wilt hitting clutch FTs late in game seven's (and in one game seven, he shot 8-9 from the line, including a three point play to tie the game with only seconds left.)

His worst playoff series was his '69 Finals. But, I find it fascinating that his coach had Wilt taking 10 FGAs per game that post-season, and yet, his new coach the very next season, had Wilt leading the league in scoring (before Chamberlain shredded his knee.) While Wilt deserved some of the blame in the '69 Finals (his game six was awful), his coach, and teammates deserved far more.

Some will say Wilt "choked" in the '68 EDF's, at least in the last two games...but of course, had they RESEARCHED that post-season, they would have realized that Wilt was playing with an ASSORTMENT of injuries, and was noticeably limping throughout the series. And, as nearly always, his teammates were atrocious, particularly in game seven (when they shot a combined 34%.)

You would be hard-pressed to find fault with any of the other 27 playoff series in his post-season career, though.

Wilt expert here. There are TONS of things to criticize Wilt for. Especially in the postseason.

I suppose you could blame Wilt for not only picking poor teammates, but for picking poor teammates who played even worse in their post-seasons.

Are you trolling? Please don't comment on Wilt Chamberlain like you know something. I'm the expert.

This is like one of those "what is your biggest flaw?" questions in a job interview

No but you can blame him for the ff:
    30 down to 22 down to 18
    not caring to make FTs
    Only 2?
    zero leadership

He should have spent more time practising free throws, less time fighting mountain lions

wilt deserves criticism for working too hard... dominating too much... exhibiting too much skill and athleticism... inspiring fair competition by giving opponents little blessings of handicaps during the postseason...
