Having a tougher time guarding player A than player B doesn't mean that player A is better than player B. That's... not how that works at all. Like literally not at all.

I think players do know who they have a tougher time to play against. As overall talent evaluators they may be bad but they have to know who for them was the tougher matchup.

I think players see other players as individuals and not as team players most of the time. So I think Harden say on 1 on 1 Kobe was a tougher opponent. Which may be true even if LeBron is a more valuable player 1 on 5.

Its pretty funny how people think that making poor draft picks... Projecting raw teenage prospects into adulthood has any....any correlation to them being able to tell you how good a guy was in real time, in prime, head to head with them.
