Kobe 2003 - started lifting weights and improved his defense/perimeter shooting.

LeBron 2009 - 2009 LeBron easily wins a ring with any version of the Heat from 2011-2014.

Hakeem 1995 - very impressive playoff run.

fisher wouldnt start on any other championship team in nba history.

and i said a team full of scrubs. not entirely

8 of kobes 11 teammates were trash
14.28 points per game 7.96 rebounds per game in 28.92 minutes and a PER over 20 is trash?

We all known Fisher proved to come up big in the playoffs and was a leader on and off the court. His game on general was pretty weak.

As roll players go they had Radmanovic, Fisher, and Vujacic who were all very good shooters for them over the course of the season.

5 players with a 15 or better. Team PER of 16.65. Still over 15 at 15.29 if we drop Kobe. That was FAR from a scrub team. Add in they started when Bynum was healthy 6 guys 6'10 or better. They were a near impossible match up for most teams.

of course post-season play.. its pretty simple. Its your way of judging a player.

To OP, there's plenty reason to consider 2007 as Kobe's best, I didn't, but fpliii did... its definitely better than 2009 Kobe.

Pau outplayed Dwight in the Finals...

Odom was pretty good for a 3rd wheel.
Ariza is the Lebron stopper and his 3pt shot was money in that run.
Fisher is alpha with the stone face and the clutch shots.

That was a more then decent contender level cast.
Plus the competition was kinda weak that year.

An injured Rockets team led by... Ron Artest?
    Utah team led by Boozer.
Injured Orlando team led by choke Dwight and roleplayers.

There was no good teams to really challange LAL.
    No Spurs or Boston etc...

i say everyone not named odom, pau or ariza is trash

then you quote me and list odom, pau and ariza as your argument

i think you missed the point buddy boy

and fish can hit wide open shots sometimes. ya.. but hes a scrub. i dont give a f*ck what anyone says... that guy would not survive in the nba with any other 2guard than a ball dominant playmaker that can average 30

otherwise fishers just an extremely undersized limited shooting guard. since kobe handled his PG responsibilities

i'l say it again... 8 of kobes 11 teammates were trash

    Eh.
That team had a pretty shitty bench that we can agree on.

There starting 5 was very good though and that is all that was needed in a year like 2009.

Kobe (best player in the league)
Pau (best 2nd option in the league)
Odom (do it all 3rd wheel)
    Fisher (alpha)
    Ariza (good)

The rest were mostly bad though Bynum, Brown and the other roleplayers had good games here or there throughout that run.

    i agree. kobe/pau/odom/ariza were a very good starting 4 of a 12 man roster

and alpha means **** all... derek fisher is/was/always has been... a scrub

alpha mentalities can be possessed by literally anyone

He put 32 points of His Team's 85 Points and with around %80 ft ( he would called 7 footer in todays ) in the finals . Beside of this , He had good playmaking , elite rebounding(he played against 6'9 centers , who are called a nearly 7 footer in todays , at between 50-54 ) , and he probably had great defence ( i'm not sure on that , but that's true by win shares and his defensive team stats ) .

Mikan played in a league before the influx of black players. I don't think his talent would translate to other eras.

He doesn't need translating his game to another era .

He played against Nat Clifton in his 3 finals .

Mikan doesn't transcend eras. He was great for his time and what he did for the league in its early days but that's about it.

    Top 6;
    1966-67 Wilt Chamberlain
    1979-80 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar*
    1985-86 Larry Bird
    1990-91 Michael Jordan
    1993-94 Hakeem Olajuwon
    1999-00 Shaquille O'Neal
(listed chronologically, ranking doesn't really matter for me)
(*: Well, TBH, 1976-77 was Kareem's best individual season. But when you say the single best season, it's hard to pass over the title and the robbed FMVP award.)

    Next 2;
    2002-03 Tim Duncan
    2011-12 LeBron James

    Candidates for remaining last 2 spots;
    1963-64 Oscar Robertson
    1982-83 Moses Malone
    1986-87 Magic Johnson
    1992-93 Charles Barkley
    2005-06 Kobe Bryant
