Will Duncan and Dirk announce retirement during their last season like Kobe?
LeBron would probably also do the same as kobe and announce it during his final season because he is as much of a attention whore as Kobe but would dirk and duncan also do the same?

Most likely they won't do it. Not because they are "humble" or some such nonsense the Stanleys will try to feed you.
But because deep down inside they know they'll never get anything close to the farewell tour/response that Kobe has gotten.
It's like being the accomplished but unpopular kid that invites his whole class to his birthday party and makes a big deal about it only to find almost nobody shows up or gives a sh*t about them. That's Duncan and Dirk. They don't want to be that kid. So they'll just "announce" their retirement in the offseason and slowly fade out into obscurity.
LeBron will definitely try to replicate Kobe's farewell tour. He'll most likely announce it even BEFORE the season starts, so he can milk it for all its worth.
ESPN will try their hardest to hype it up and pretend like LeBron's farewell is some seminal moment on par with Kobe's, but you won't see the same type of genuine reaction from the road crowds nor will you be having the next generation of players saying that LeBron was "their MJ". Players will instead say that Steph Curry was their generations MJ/Kobe.

LoL.
no one was paying attention to Kobe other than few articles about his really bad shooting until he announced his retirement. After he announced his retirement, he got the attention back while having no one criticize him for shooting badly.
Duncan would definitely get good video tributes from all the teams if he announced his retirement during the season but ofcourse fans wouldn't be as excited. It would be a lot different if Duncan had the same career playing for the Lakers even though he is not flashy like Kobe and doesn't say corny stuff like Kobe and LeBron to appeal to dumb sports fans.

The Kobe retirement tour has become too much, of course he deserves a nod here and there, but he is not Michael Jordan, Bird og Magic. The league has become so money fixated they will use everything and anything to bring some excitement to a lackluster regular season product.

Don't be surprised if both retire this summer after the season. I see Duncan going away the most quiet, while potentially working in the FO of San Antonio when all is said and done.
I've NEVER liked the Spurs at all, but I'm becoming all nostalgic and sad just thinking about the Spurs without Duncan, Manu, and Parker. Weird.

Jordan retired twice that my friend can never be top.

No need to celebrate a system player like Duncan, save it for Coach Pop. Dirk on the other hand should be celebrated even more than Kobe IMO.

Re: Will Duncan and Dirk announce retirement during their last season like Kobe?
what a dumb thread with a obvious agenda. If Kobe doesn't announce his retirement the media would constantly be badgering him about his poor play this season (like they were in droves before he announced he was done) and there would be the constant question going around "what is he going to do after this year".
If anything he announced it so that people would A) stop asking at every press conference and B) back off with all the hate which was really unnecessary for a 38 year old shooting guard coming off a string of serious injuries
Off topic - OP you're username is extremely low class

Anybody have that Kobe quote where he stated he would not announce his retirement during the season because he detested the whole idea of a farewell/pity tour? I knew he was full of shit, he lives for this sort of stuff. Dude is so corny and disingenuous, I can't see Dirk or Duncan doing this, making an entire season about themselves and not their teams.

You're so corny. LeBron is a 4x NBA MVP and 2x Finals MVP. He's a more accomplished and better individual player than Sidekickbe. By they time LeBron retires his son is now playing in the NBA. I can see LeBron being an effective player until 39-40 cause he has a much higher Basketball IQ than Ballhogbe, and also a better team player.
LeBron Jr is also going to surpass Kobe. I can see this kid demanding to be traded to the Lakers during draft night. No need to waste your prime on a losing team while you can play with a prestigious franchise like the Lakers.
LeBron James Jr, Dwayne Wade Jr, Carmelo's Son, and even CP3 Jr are going to be the one who's going to give some tribute to the King. Those Kids were born from 2002-2006. And they are the real future of the NBA.
