WHERE and HOW MUCH money is Pau Gasol getting?
Suitors showing interests are San Antonio, Portland, Raptors and Minnesota
This dude could seriously get a max deal easy
Crazy to think about it, just 2 years ago he signed a 3 year 22 million deal with Chicago (3rd year Player Option)
Dude is still one of the best combo bigs in the league... His game ages so well because it's all based on his skill and size
Honestly I wish he'd sign with Cleveland, but that's a longshot
He's seeing the free agency climate, and he KNOWS he can score a MASSIVE deal
Good fits? Minnesota, Spurs, Portland... I feel like it doesn't get San Antonio past GSW though.. Too slow with Aldridge, Gasol and Duncan
Minnesota's probably my ideal spot for him... They've got a load of cap space given they're stacked with low cost rookies at the moment... They can perhaps give him a short near max contract to help them jumpstart the playoff push.. It's a fit, a frontcourt of KAT and Gasol works... With Dieng and Garnett (If he's still going one more) filling out the rotation
Thibs has worked with Gasol, and they're clearly a match

If the smaller, lite version of Gasol in Horford can score 100M+, then the real deal should be getting HELLA Cash.

NBA Legend and Hall of Famer
Re: WHERE and HOW MUCH money is Pau Gasol getting?
Pau has about 1-2 years left in that body , and slowing as we speak.
The big man slow game is all most out for the NBA.
By the time the resurgence of big mans game occurs, his career will be over.
Big men have to get up and down the floor as fast as the little guy.
That is why guys like Durant and Greek freak are so valuable.
Needless to say guys like Lebron , and Green.
Milwaukee already has there big men , otherwise Pau would of been a good fit there.
He may land in Portland, or even Dallas.... Houston could be an option as well

Pau Gasol is 6 years older than Horford. Did this just slip your mind?

And yet still, Pau is the superior player, and will be until he retires
His game doesn't age
He's been moving like a tree for years now
All skill and size
Given the current climate, Pau can and probably will get a near max deal
The duration of contract is up for issue, but a signing of his caliber demands contention
His worth and ability which are superior to Horford's, demands a superior contract
If for any reason that doesn't happen, it will be out of the humility and gesture of his heart

His defense is abysmal in his current state. He doesn't move his feet at all on defense. Horford has a big advantage on that side of the ball and he's not even an elite defender.
