Default There is no similarities between Durant and James

No one cared that LeBron James left the Cavs the first time. It was the way he did it to the fans and having a TV special to get the spotlight. It was a big screw you to everyone. Durant made a choice and as a free agent he is entitled to play where he wants. All he did was pick a team and has been low key about it. He did everything right.

If OKC couldnt beat GSW, what makes you think they'd beat the Cavs? Oladipo? Gtfoh.

You said it, Lebron left a team that had no chance of winning, OKC did, went seven games against the then current champions. So he was one win away from going into the finals in a team many picked to beat the Cavs because of their size.

It's a move many greats wouldn't consider. Ewing, R. Miller Stockton. And those who did move to quality teams did it because they were past their primes. Barkley to Houston, Malone to L.A., Drexler to Houston. Drexler was traded and Houston lost V. Maxwell and O. Thorpe. etc.

This is like if Lebron joined Boston in 2010

I usually have no problem with these kind of moves. I had no problem with Lebron's or KG's, etc. What bothers me isn't how good or "stacked" the Warriors already were and supposedly will be but the fact that he's leaving a title contending team that could've realistically won it all and joining a team that he just had a 7 game war with.

Durant, a former MVP who is averaging 27.4 points over his career, should end Curry's run as MVP. How could Curry be the most valuable player in the NBA when he plays on a team that now clearly has enough star power to win a title without him?

    This is the point.

I agree. Makes Bron look ok in hindsight.

Agreed. One is a champion. The other is a career loser.

When Durant has an ESPN special about his decision then he can be labeled a dick.
