This week is a little better....
Not sure about Klay at #6 though, I feel he's very replaceable.

Tell me when this was the case? Let me guess, all up until '09 or so?

It's never been the case. It's either "A player on the team with a top two record in the league" or "the feel good story" for the most part.

Curry should be the clear #1, and Klay should not be on the list, his spot could go to Wall/Paul instead.

Re: 2014/2015 NBA MVP Ladder Thread
I never thought I would say this, but if the voting was held right now, I think I would vote for James Harden as the MVP.
His defense is much better this year, his offense is excellent as always, and he has done a spectacular job of keeping the Rockets going with Dwight out.
If you had told me before the season that Dwight would miss 12 out of the first 22 games, and asked me to guess what the Rockets record would be, I probably would have said they'd be 9-13 or something like that. Instead they are 17-5 ...

Re: 2014/2015 NBA MVP Ladder Thread
We have to take team success into consideration. I think it's fair to say that so far the top 3 candidates are Curry, Gasol and Harden. Davis numbers are pretty impressive but his Pelicans are struggling.
