    Default Michael Jordan and Larry Bird

    What if Michael Jordan and Larry both started their careers on the same team?
    How would they have played together and fared against the competition. We all know they both were big time trash talkers, big time scorers and big time all-around players. MJ being a better overall players taking defense and offense in consideration. Bird being a better shooter. Both having great basketball IQ. Would MJ still averaged 30ppg or would Bird be the number one scoring option? how many championship? how many in a row? who wins the finals mvp?

    Any thoughts? comments ?

    Looking forward to all your answers.

    they were the top two players in history as far as achieving GOAT-level production with the least time of possession... getting their production with the least time of possession left more time for teammates to get their touches and maximize the threat they could be, which in turn maximized the threat the entire team posed to opponents.

    with teammates not having to worry about the ball-stopping and having ample opportunity to play their game, they were not known for underperforming, unlike the teammates of other stars whose personal production takes more time of possession away from teammates..

    in addition to their low time of possession, Bird and Jordan also enhanced the their teammates play by having supreme scoring versatility, which allowed them to adjust their game to their teammates (i.e. score in whatever capacity allowed teammates to play to their strengths).

    so between their low time of possession and supreme scoring versatility, jordan and bird would realize maximum synergies together and would undoubtedly form the greatest team of all time.

    Bird was a chameleon. He would have done whatever it took to win games. MJ would have been the #1 option, but Bird would have led the team in assists and probably rebounds.

    I think the only real dilemma would have been, who takes the last shot? That's a pretty good dilemma to have though.

    League = wrecked

    Also, they will be 1a and 1b on their team. Both are good passers and both are good playing off ball.

    Like Michael with Pippen except:

    1. Bird not as good a perimeter defender as Pippen.
    2. Way better scoring than Pippen, inside and out.
    3. Way better passing than Pippen.
    4. Way better rebounding than Pippen.
    5. Godlike Clutch in crunch time.

    Jordan and Bird would put on a clinique.
