    ESPN reports that the Nets are among three teams that might give Brian Scalabrine a training camp invitation. "Teams that might offer the veteran big man a training camp invite include the Nets, Clippers and Wizards," writes Nick Borges. He didn't explain why the placed the Nets, Scalabrine's first team, ahead of the others.

    Scalabine realizes that 11 years after he was drafted at #36 by the Nets his career could be over, but he thinks he can still contribute. "In the regular season, a guy like me can fill in and help your team win. It's disappointing if people don't see value in that."

    Roster is so loaded now I'd like to see them get a youngster to develop. Give a shot to an undrafted rookie, gamble on a European.

    I wanted Alexy Shved a few years back and now he's a baller for the Wolves :

    This time around, I'd rather just bring in James Singleton to be the emergency SF.
