Nope, he can't create his own shot. He's best as a spot up shooter out of the 3 role.

Then possibly we'll move Hayward to shooting guard and see Marvin as the small forward.

No. Marvin is much better when he comes off the bench.

Marvin actually would be best suited at power forward due to his size and his quickness.

He's not that great. Maybe a change of scenery will do him good, but there is no great point guard to run the show in Utah. Maybe they will add one.

Maybe the Jazz will make a big offer to Steve Nash.

He's still young and can't shoot very well? I always thought of Marvin as a good player, but not what everyone expected him to be.

utah should offer dragic the starting pg position.

    dragic
    burks
    hayward
    milsap
    jeff

is a decent starting line up. then you look at the bench. favors, marvin, kanter. this team has some potential in the future.

If he were a late lotto to mid first round pick, no one would talk shit about him. But, alas, he was the #2 overall pick so criticism is warranted.

Marvin can't play SG, from what I saw. He's more of a SF/PF than SG/SF. He's too slow laterally to guard... Guards.

I always thought Marvin needed a change of scenery. He was too easily allowed to be stuck behind the light with guys like Crawford and Johnson letting it fly all game. In Utah, thinking he is a starter (is he?), he will be forced to take a bigger role offensively. He still shows some decent potential, imo, even though he will never live up to that #2 pick hype.

Utah are looking good all of a sudden.

    CT: Jefferson/ Kanter
    PF: Millsap/ Favors
    SF: Williams/ Howard
    SG: Hayward/ Burks
    PG: Williams/ Watson or Tinsley

Obviously Marvin can hit the three pretty well, but I love how this will make our defense a lot better now.

Any other sauce on this? If it goes down I'm glad Ferry had the sense to say enough is enough.

Ferry is doing what Orlando should have been doing the past 3 years.
