Default Jerry West in today's game

Would he be Curry-like? Say he grew up practicing threes. West was a great scorer with very good FG% in a higher paced era with lower FG%, especially for perimeter players (West and Robertson were exceptions). West did have three point range.

West was one of the best defenders of his era - if not the best wing defender - whereas Curry is good-but-not-great in that department.

However, West was only an average dribbler whereas Curry is obviously a magician with the basketball.

Their mid-range game was similar and West certainly had three point range. West might not have Curry's deep range, but he'd be close. Maybe West would be more like Ray Allen or Reggie Miller in terms of his scoring if he played in the modern era, since he didn't have Curry's handle.

Wade and Kobe would've made West quite the NBA. His was a dumpster fire of an era.

Dude definitely has the GOAT basketball mind though.
