I know this will sound really ridiculous but the opponents nowadays are so aware of his ability to chase people down that he rarely even gets a chance anymore. Plus it's obvious that he's not giving 100% effort on the defensive end anymore all the time in the regular season.

he's not really playing hard on D anymore in general. At least during the regular season. Often times he doesn't even get back after a turn over or he's leaving his man open at the prospect for an easy fast break. Overall his defense has been pretty disappointing lately!
