I wouldn't be concerned about it. Focus on bettering yourself instead of expending unnecessary energy trying to save the world.

The jobs machines could take still require people. In a world machines did everything someone still has to design them. And build them. And build the machines that build other machines. Too many things require a human touch. And too many things that dont NEED humans still benefit from them. A chick fila robot might be able to make and deliver food....but it wouldnt have the customer service. Some things just dont work as a vending machine.

The world certainly doesn't need 8 billion humans and especially doesn't need those of inferior intelligence and/or values/cultures that don't promote peace, community and effort against conflict, breeding more humans.

I imagine it will be mandatory to genetically discard inferior traits in human offspring in the near future anyway

These statements are true for now but if you fast forward 50 years they won’t be. AI will undoubtedly surpass us intellectually and when you couple that with physical manifestations via robots... the growth is exponential... if you haven’t noticed by now.

I would already rather have a robot make and deliver my food than a human at chick fil a. They are going to do everything far more quickly and far more accurately once they are developed enough in a far more sanitary fashion.

In any event, I’m not looking to argue with you as to whether or not it’s going to happen. It’s going to happen.

I’m more interested in discussing what human roles will be in day to day life and how we can possibly carry on with the same philosophical approach to life we always have which is that working = food.

There won’t be enough jobs to employ an ever increasing human population. That’s just flat out false.

So what does life look like for the unemployable? Does humanity radically shift our approach to everyday life to continue on increasing in numbers or do we just simply drastically reduce the population to reach an equilibrium with robots? There are going to be literally billions of unemployable people. That’s not an opinion. It’s a factual certainty.

Resource Based Economy. Look it up. Technocratic communism brought to us through the power of either anarcho capitalism or socialism. Probably both. Could be utopia or dystopia depending on how you want to look at it.

We already allocate intellectual property and information abundantly to the masses pretty much for free in an almost anarcho communistic way. Just wait until we can do that with actual physical resources.

I once tried to get scammed out of $500 but then had a paradigm shift that prevented me from doing so.

It has been eighty years since there was any military aggression berween first world nations. This major peace will not last much longer.

There will be immense warfare on this planet soon. The blood of many millions will be shed.

I don't think you have to worry about AI replacing us. Why? Because at some point, I expect humans and AI to intersect into a single being. That's the existence we are building towards.

Whatever being you get from that will be our next evolutionary lineage. Natural selection is essentially being replaced with our ability to dictate our own evolution on our terms and ultimately play god.

Natural selection, naturally, takes place over thousands and hundreds of thousands of generations. Today we have the power to dictate it over just a few generations - we can even alter our DNA so we control our biology. We have taken over the reins, and we are speeding it up each generation. We now control our own evolution (hence playing god).

That will be and is already becoming our new approach to life since the dawn of the information age, mainly the addition of computers. We already have implant chips and handheld computers at our fingertips (smartphones), and I expect the two to become one (think of google glasses except directly implanted into our bodies). I have zero doubt we are heading towards the age of cyborgs. That's our future.
