I feel bad for Howard
He was clutch as **** tonight...on both ends. Dominated the 4th and a HUGE block in the end.
Only to lose, once again, on Houston's backcourt having no ****ing clue on defense.
How many times in the regular season did Houston lose on a play just like this?

Dwight was absolutely amazing the entire series

Re: I feel bad for Howard
He had a great run in the 4th but he missed 2 free throws and clanked a point blank all within the last 2 minutes of the game so I wouldn't say he was clutch.
Was out played by LMA this series
Harden is turrible. I bet Dwight wishes he was back in the east.. Not having too much luck in the west

Re: I feel bad for Howard
I have been down on Howard the last two years but gotta give him credit. He played well this series and the loss is definitely not on him. He really needs to find a reliable second star .

Houston was already notorious for first round exits.

Re: I feel bad for Howard
Props to Howards play but as the leader he has got to instill better defensive work ethic in his teammates. Going forward I think he has a better chance of doing that.

You do realize he brought his team to the finals before right?

Lin's defense was TOP NOTCH the entire series.
Harden and PARSONS need to work on their D.
The more I see Parsons, the more I realize that he's pretty damn bad on D.

Re: I feel bad for Howard
This is the team Howard wanted to go to (they played exactly the same last season). Running the offense through both Howard and Harden is deceptively flawed (meaning, it looks awesome at times, but is it?). Some of it falls on the coach not the players always. Credit to Howard for being consistent in going one-on-one against Sideshow Bob, but Portland could live with it. Howard couldn't stay a .70 FT% shooter all game and that's kind of what Blazers counted on.

How can you instill a defensive work ethic into a guy who's main mode of defense is half assed slap to the ball as the offensive player blows by you
