I think Phil is sending a message to Kobe via the press.
you're crazy. nobody liked mj from 96-98. only us diehards. the refs were out to get him. it was racism. and reverse-sexism. and several other isms. prejudice against jordan and bulls abounded and if we got the calls we deserved we would have had an 80% win - loss ratio and won three titles! oh wait. nevermind.

So you ride Amare's nuts?

At least ride the nuts of someone who can play D.

It has multiple meanings...sort of like "Aloha"

what's wrong Forman, Red ground you and threaten to put a foot in your ass?

Don't worry Fez is coming over later and maybe that big ginger b*tch will give you a hand job....

'nut riding' is common nomenclature for supporting someone. I hardly think it is offensive.

I'd go back and recheck those FTA stats, but do so after your anger management class.

The numbers don't bear your theory out, unfortunately. "Few others in the history of the game" must mean 6-8 perimeter players in today's game alone, since that's how many players today get significantly more calls than him.

It wasn't just MJ. There were different rules in the 90's than today. Better rules.

I can see where refs would stop making calls on Jordan though. I'm sure other players and coaches were puting ALOT of pressure on the refs.

Shaq got the same treatment (probably worse), and after awhile I think the refs just had no idea how to call fouls in regards to Shaq... then the league rules completely changed because of him.

you are comparing two different sets of rules and styles of defense.

Guys today go crashing into match up zones, that is why they get calls, because every team basically plays a match up zone and there is always someone to crash into. It sucks, but that is how Stern et al want it.

In MJ's day there was illegal defense etc...and MJ got a lot of touch fouls off the man to man defense, which a lot of other players didn't get.

It was very common in the NBA, in the man to man defense days for unreputable players to never get the benifit of the doubt, someone like Jordan got a lot of benifits.

You Jordan supporters are so damns sensitive, lighten up, your boy got his calls, it doesn't tarnish the halo....it isn't like he quit the NBA to avoid a gambling probe or something...OH NO YOU DIDN'T JUST GO THERE...Blasphemy

thank god stern had to bribe him back to save the league, huh? the next 3 years that he dominated your favorite team (who was your favorite team? doesn't matter, he dominated them.) were an apology from david for letting the press get in mike's way.

Most fouls dont lead to ft's.

I agree with Phil J that Jordan was mobbed all the time, but using ft numbers purely to judge anything is not accurate.
