Lebron's Defense on Carmelo Anthony
Shane Battier Defense on Carmelo Anthony 20FGM-38FGA 56Points = 52FG%
Lebron James Defense on Carmelo Anthony 12FGM-41FGA 31Points = 29FG%
Lebron James is the true defensive player of the Year this year.
Tell me that isn't Elite Defense?
Hopefully the Voters don't screw up with the MVP votes.

DPOY is not based on the post season, and you should see the numbers the top centers put up against Tyson Chandler.

But Lebron is defending the so called "BEST SCORER and the Best Player in the NBA Since April" in the league.
Holding the "Best Scorer in the NBA" to a FG% of 29 deserves a DPOY. I don't care if its postseason or not.

Yeah, let's act like in this era of great centers we can compare any of them to Carmelo Anthony as scorers.

The best scorer and the best player in the NBA (other than LeBron) is Kevin Durant and we saw what Durant did to him in their first head to head matchup which was a regular season and the DPOY is a regular season award.
Like Sarcastic said, the DPOY is based on regular season play, not post-season play. The DPOY has already been handed out and Chandler won it and deservingly so. LeBron might win a DPOY at some point in his career but not this season.

Everyone on this forum was praising him since his breakout Month of April. Not me though, because I knew Lebron James was going to expose him when the playoffs come around.
This year's DPOY was the worse since 2007 when Marcus Camby won it, while Tim Duncan was the true DPOY

The regular season ended in April, no? This is not April anymore, is it?
What part of "regular season award" don't you understand?

wtach the game.... tonight when it was actually 1 on 1 with LeBron on him he was toching LeBron. Miami been bring help on Melo when lebron has defended him.

Re: Lebron's Defense on Carmelo Anthony
He's a good defender. Melo did better on him in Game 5, but in the first four he just looked totally outmatched.
Hopefully they'll see each other in the playoffs again so we can get a better read for what's going on.
