Default Why don't you support the founders position on immigration?

Here we have what the founders wanted for America.

Do you support the founders or do you hate America and the values upon which it was founded?

It was repealed 5 years later you dumdum and the important parts all stayed. People of African and Indian origin were exempted until 1870 and Chinese/Mongoloid until 1898.

Take out anything dealing with race as that's irrelevant when looking at individuals and... this...

"In order to address one's good character, the law required two years of residence in the United States and one year in the state of residence, prior to applying for citizenship. When those requirements were met, an immigrant could file a Petition for Naturalization with "any common law court of record" having jurisdiction over his residence. Once convinced of the applicant’s good moral character, the court would administer an oath of allegiance to support the Constitution of the United States. The clerk of the court was to make a record of these proceedings, and "thereupon such person shall be considered as a citizen of the United States.""

Sounds perfect to me.

And in the mean time, anyone that breaks what would be good character is either deported or mercilessly and extremely violently executed in the middle of the streets at high noon as to deter further scumbags.

One good reasons to US presidents to be forbidden from using the word nation.

This lol. The whole debate is about how many immigrants are along to come here and that paragraph doesn't address that question at all.

It addresses who gets to vote though which is pretty important when considering which immigrants come the US since they can likely become citizens and have kids that become citizens due to birthright.
