    Default Nerlens Noel

since 1985 Nerlens Noel, Shaq, Mutumbo, and The Admiral are the only players to have had 10 rebounds with 3 blocks in first pair of career games.
He's averaging 10 ppg on 41 FG%, 10 rpg, 3 bpg, 1.0 apg in his first 2 games. He just needs to improve his offensive game.

What is this? Game two of his NBA career?

I think any team would give their left nut to have a rookie do that in his first two games.

We knew his offensive game would be a work in progress coming into the NBA, it was the defense people were excited about. Good early signs from him though, really want him to have a productive year, could see him challenging for ROY if he does well, pull a Blake

Even if he's a poor man's Anthony Davis I'd be satisfied.

Looking good. He had a sick inbounds alley oop against the Bucks. A definite bright spot for the Sixers.

If only the Pelicans didn't trade him. Literally unstoppable front-court in defence.

He could be a similar player to Ibaka. Needs to work on his offense, like the OP stated.

Ibaka is a sharp shooter, and one of the best rim protectors in history. I can't see noel being like that.

According to the numbers, Ibaka was the 17th best rim protector in the NBA last season. Extrapolate that over the fifty odd years the NBA has been around, and we can reasonably assume he's not a top 200 rim protector of all time.

So no, Ibaka is not one of the best rim protectors in history.

as in half of his game?

his passing and vision is better than i expected. his skills are raw, but his awareness is solid for a rookie big man
