Re: Official Nerlens Noel Summer League thread
The key is how many minutes will he play this season? Will they monitor it? Will he have any setbacks physically? Will he be in foul trouble?
All factors that will play a role in his production. 9-6-2 is reasonable. Maybe 10 if he plays at least 30mpg. His pts will be put back attempts which won't be easy with his strength, ally oops, and being set up where defense collapses and he is cutting to the basket. He can't score anyway else at this point. He is quick and agile facing up but he has no finishing moves. He struggles with this in the SL, the NBA? Pfft
I think 2 blocks and 1 Stl per game is achievable.

Nerlens Noel going for the NBA Title(Orlando Summer League version) today!
By the Way, Assistant Coach Lloyd Pierce has done a great job. He basically took a bunch of strangers and jelled them together in 2 weeks.
Casper Ware has played well too, and Ware making the team will depend, in part, with how the LBJ saga plays out.

Re: Official Nerlens Noel Summer League thread
Noel' s stat line of 29 minutes, 12 points(6-10), 6 rebounds, 4 bs against the Cavs was another good game for him.
He was stellar once again defensively with those blocked shots, altered shots, poked a couple of balls loose leading to fast breaks. Nice to see, but this was sort of expected.
What's surprising is his offense. Yes, it's summer league, but he has shown touch around the basket, he has shown some post up moves, and he can run the break. I predict Noel to average at least 10ppg this season, possibly more.
With the complete package he brings on the floor, including this surprising offense, ROY is not a far flung possibility, if he can somehow rebound the basketball which is the biggest question mark with him right now.
Will he get pushed around the paint?

I'd guess so. Most rookies do. It's just a matter of a 20 year old kid going up against fully grown men like Al Horford or Marcin Gortat.
