What do you expect he is ISH's Golden Boy.

Your mad because Melo will never be better than Mayo. Now my list anybody who thinks Wade, or Roy will be better than Mayo is out of their minds. Mayo as a rookie scored 28 points on Wade, and 31 points on Roy.

Here is the list time to lock the thread

    1. O.J. Mayo
    2. Kobe Bryant ( MJ was the best when he was 35 why not Kobe)
    3. Dwyane Wade
    4. Stephen Curry
    5. Brandon Roy.

On the season Roy averaged 22.5ppg vs OJ Mayo and the Memphis Grizzlies Mayo averaged 20.8ppg vs Portland and IIRC Portland won all 4 games vs Memphis
    1)Roy
    2)Wade
    3)Kobe

A player being in the top 5 at the age of 35 either proves that player is that great or the position is that thin league-wide.

Didn't Jordan retire at 34, when they did the second 3peat in '98??

My point exactly you just proved it. Mayo can compete with players like Wade and Roy as a rookie just think at what he will to them this year.

Have you seen Roy in the clutch? The guy always make the game winning shot or send the game into OT. He never misses a free throw in clutch time. In the playoffs in both games Portland won, Roy hit a big time 3 in the final minutes with Artest in his face.

Wow going through this thread, nobody predicted that Kobe would still be top dawg by a mile. his longevity is truely something.

    With that being said

Outside of Brandon Roy's freak injury, and the emergency of James Harden. The SG position was rather easy to tell the ballers it was pretty obvious that Kobe, Wade, Gordon, Mayo were all going to be in the mix somewhere.

Roy's injury wasn't a freak injury. A freak injury is like Bynum bowling and blowing his knees out... Roy's injury troubles were known from the time he was drafted i'm pretty sure.

Anyways the SG crop in the NBA is horrid, much like the C crop, although there are far more servicable SG's in the NBA than there are C's.
