Re: The 10 best players in the NBA, after the 2014 NBA Finals:
I wanted to put LaMarcus Aldridge in their somewhere
Aldridge: 23/11/3/1/1 on 46/20/82
Love: 26/13/4/.5/1 on 46/37/82
Griffin: 24/10/4/.6/1 on 53/27/72
Davis: 21/10/2/3/1 on 52/22/79 (Didn't score as much but with his defensive presence and his 3 blocks per game and great efficiency and being a young player I gave him the nod)
Hmm...Perhaps LMA over Paul George, but George is a good 2-day player:
George: 22/7/4/.3/2 on 42/36/86
Aldridge: 23/11/3/1/1 on 46/20/82

Not a single Spur on the list?
Curry over Parker? Curry has won .. what exactly?
Lillard? Did we not see the same epic beat down?
No PG in the league breaks down a defense like Parker. Parker is such a scoring threat that Miami put its best defender on him and every other Spur made them pay for it.
Some serious bullshit in this thread.

TP is the most overrated flopping POS in the league. Heck, Manu flops more, but he's more likable. Parker is just an overrated clown.
Why is OP still allowed to start new threads?

Re: The 10 best players in the NBA, after the 2014 NBA Finals:
Anthony Davis should be top 5, possibly even top 3, next season. Apparently he added pounds of muscle to his frame, I predict he'll at least be at 245 by the time the season starts. He can actually add a lot more than both KD and KG, who he's so often been compared to.
Typically NBA stars have a "third year leap" (see Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Stephen Curry, Paul George as the most recent examples... same for LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Melo, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard... although there are exceptions, the regularity of the pattern is striking, to say the least).
The third year of a young star's career is typically the most exciting. It's where you get to see just how good they might really become.
And if Anthony Davis does "leap", it'll be a leap from an already spectacular place, as he averaged 21, 10 and 3 on 58 TS% last year.
To put things in perspective, last season he had a better PER than Kevin Garnett, LeBron James and Shaquille O'Neal at the same age. Much better PER than Kobe.
At 20 Tim Duncan, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Alonzo Mourning, weren't even in the league... And many of them had worse productivity as rookies, years later. Russell, Wilt and Kareem hadn't set foot on an NBA court either. Moses Malone was averaging 14 and 9 for the Spirits of Saint Louis...
All the stats point to a future MVP candidate.

The spurs system breaks down other teams defenses, parker getting seriously overrated coz of pop & co, put him on any other team and he just another pg without a ring the guy still never been allnba 1st
