Jason Kidd sure is a moron. How can you justify Pierce shooting a horrible contested shot while Joe is wide open and playing with a slight chip on his shoulder? This was a winnable game and it hurts to lose it.

I don't think you can assume the play was for the ball to stop in Pierce's hand and him not to swing it around to someone else. What if JJ was covered? Do you want the Deron "let me fling it to him anyway" moment? To me that look like Pierce shot instead of swinging the ball to the next man.

I don't quite understand what your saying but anyways, Joe was wide open and Livingston passed the ball to Pierce. Pierce than proceeds to take the most anemic shot possible. It was almost as if he thought he had no time left to take a better shot. That shot was contested and he caught the ball on the move. It had no chance of going in. The Nets have had so many late execution failures over the course of this season. It's been utterly pathetic. It started in our first game of the season against the Cavaliers. I knew this team was going to be shit after that game. They showed no defense or good shot selection in that game and guess what, 50 games later and not one thing has changed.
