Default With Spurs and Heat getting older by next season, shouldn't OKC start winning titles?

Who knows how much longer Duncan, Manu and Pop continues and who Miami get to fill out the roster with the big 3 and how Wade adjusts going forward. Shouldn

Spurs are going to be relevant for at least another 2-3 years. Durant is still in his prime after the Spurs are done, but I doubt hes willing to wait this long in OKC?

If Adams develops well (looks like he will) and they can find an ACTUALLY good 2-guard, then yes.

Why do they have to wait until all their main rivals are old and irrelevant before they start winning titles?

    "With the Spurs getting older"
how many time have we heard that phrase?

People were already saying this in 2005. In 2007 they were seen as pretty much on their last legs. And since 07, people have treated every single season as their last opportunity for contention.

They'll be a contender at least until Duncan and Popovich retire, which they'll do simultaneously, and probably won't do before 2016.

Shouldn’t OKC if they can fill a need for a shooter be considered a team who should be winning titles right away. Brooks I know isn’t great and Perkins is still there but really shouldn’t there be no excuses going forward? More so with how good Adams looks set to develop into
next year will be the 4th/5th year straight of people saying'' Spurs are done'' at the start of the season, and call them ''contenders'' after they get the 1st/2nd seed at the end of the season.
That Pop system is not going anywhere.

If they keep their depth I see no reason why 1st or 2nd seed won
