Re: Nash/Gasol pick n rolls with Dwight waiting on the weakside
Well, considering the fact that for the last 2 years "Lakers offense" = Kobe, the addition of both Nash and Howard will be a refreshing, desperately needed change.

Nigh unguardable.
I don't think Kobe knows how to take an open shot. I bet he just stands there waiting for guys to guard him so he can go into ISO mode.

I doubt he'll be calling many plays w/ Nash running PG.

It's gonna be so hard for teams to rebound against LA. Dwight is a monster on the boards. I feel bad for those teams out west.

This is correct, no sideline coaching need when Nash is around. You just give him the ball and let him do his thing....
Alot of wins ensue.

valid point but a lot of that only works for isolated and end of game plays. it's up to brown and crew to develop and install a real system and a lot of that stuff comes off the ball. nash will always be able to create but you want something to come naturally...with chemistry, synergy and with ease (and that's where the coaching staff shows up). that's how LA will become a top 3 offense in the league. honestly, if they're not at least top 5 offensively, that's a referendum on coaching since they more than have the personnel to do so.

What change? Has Mike Brown been replaced? You have a head coach who literally does not coach offense. Does not know offense. The only way consistent, competent offensive sets will be run is if Kobe just takes the bull by the horn and calls the sets himself.
