I looked it up. I don't see much literature out there comparing the views of Biden/Obama. I assume that Biden/Obama are very similar because there is no way Obama would ask Biden to be VP if they weren't 90% similar in beliefs. As far as personalities go, Biden is the cooler extroverted of the 2. I think he would be able get more done as president due to his extroverted personality and due to being white (many Republicans are racist).
Obama/Bill Clinton are easier to compare. While their policies are somewhat similar (much different in how they pull it off), Obama is much different in personality than Clinton. Bill Clinton was a better politician because he could sneak in what he wanted while still giving the other side what they wanted. Obama can't pull it off that easily. It is not because he is not as intelligent but because he seems to be more introvert.

What do you mean here?
We're going to have a transition of power just like any other transition.

Better than Hilary. Hopefully he just takes her votes due to Hilary running on a platform based on Obama's success, leaving Bernie to take the nod.

It's too bad that the right doesn't have a Daily Show type comedy show if Biden wins. I bet he would have a bunch of golden soundbites.

As in no other candidate can fill his shoes, other than his failings regarding Syria, he has been a strong force and character. Don't look at ISH where junkies are allowed to spam hate, Obama would win by a landslide if he was able to run.

Re: Joe Biden to announce presidential run
Unless some unforeseen catastrophe occurs during the last year and change of Obama's administration, Joe will be able to run confidently on their record. It was just announced the National deficit was cut by 2/3 and is at the lowest level of the GDP since before the 2008 financial meltdown.
In 2012, Joe promised the unemployment rate, which was around 8% at the time, would be under 6% during the second term. Voila:

Despite some early concerns about death panels, Obamacare has been generally working swimmingly.
Joe is known as a guy who can and has reached across the aisle to get deals done, which is in contrast to his boss. He was instrumental in getting the deal done that averted a complete government shutdown. He's best friends with Lindsey Graham.
I think as soon as he makes it official and starts running on the Obama record and flexes his old man strength in a few debates, he'll surge in the polls Obama in '08 style while Hillary remains mired in flip-flopping and controversy after controversy.

Apologies for being clueless, but won't he and Sanders just cannibalize one another? From my understanding, Clinton has a sizable lead among women and minority voters, and I'm not sure how much more Biden appeals to either demographic than Sanders. Seems like unless that email scandal blows up (which doesn't seem likely), she's a shoe-in for the democratic nomination.

???? The early concerns were not about death panels.

Well his boss spent a couple of years reaching across the aisle. It went something like this.
On the day that Obama was sworn in, a group of republican leaders and strategies vowed to oppose everything he did. That was the plan. Even during the worst economic downturn in 70 odd years, they were not going to work with the president because it would look like a win for the president. What exactly is going to make they drop that strategy? The party has moved even further to right. The Speaker of the House quit because it too much trouble working with these nuts because they don't actually care about governing. What exactly would make them drop this strategy with any Democrat, even smiling Joe.
