New York contemplating waiving Bargs
The trade market isn't looking too fruitful for the former number 1 pick. I'm sure he'll get picked up fairly quickly as a FA though.

How many #1 picks have been waived before age 30 without sustaining a major injury?

Which poster wants him on his team?

Knicks all da way
Re: New York contemplating waiving Bargs
He's horrible and he never even plays. Gave up next year's pick for him If it wasn't for Knicks getting a top 5 draft pick this year, I would have moved to somewhere ISH is blocked.

Perhaps to advance the tank. Although many would argue that keeping Bargniani does just that.
In retrospect, that trade with the Raptors couldn't look any more one sided. Massai completely pillaged them.

I would surmise it's either none or potentially 1

The Hawks can sign him, the Knicks save a little on salary but a little more on luxury tax.
And the Hawks get someone who can into our passing-motion-shooting offense.

perhaps there is some tax savings, as they can stretch his contract? But, yeah, no real reason for this.

Everyone knew it at the time. Just like the Nets trading the #6 pick (Lillard) for the expensive corpse of Gerald Wallace. There was some pretty awful GMing going on at the time.

That trade from the Nets to Boston was worse.

Yeah I think he'd fit in well with your boys. The added depth couldn't hurt.

I miss open layups

Kandi? He had to be close.
Kwame was waived at 31 by the Sixers.
