Re: All-NBA 1st Team (Front Court)
made this thread yesterday. i think lebron at best is 3rd team. but even then he probably shouldn't be due to missing a ton of games and missing the playoffs
someone like middleton/harris/aldridge/griffin should make the 3rd team if their teams are in the post season

Fortunately for LeBran he has 6 spots out of a total 10 to make All-NBA 1st or 2nd teams.. 60% chance if he plays adequately.. whereas in a guard dominated league a Steph Curry or Kyrie have a 40% chance. How much help/opportunities does he need? No excuses.
Furthermore, if he doesn't make 1st or 2nd, I'd rather him make the 3rd team than not make the 3rd team.. It's like a bronze medal for All-Time greats.
Wouldn't shock me if the league decided to make All-NBA positionless to cater the posse in the not too distant future.. gotta protect LeBran legacy at all cost.. see All-Star game format after 4 straight and like 12 out of 16 year stretch of West dominance.

Individually, Davis has been better than Leonard this season.
28/13/4 1.6 stls 2.5 blks 30.5 PER .261 WS/48 for Davis
27/8/3 1.9 stls 0.4 blks 26.1 PER .230 WS/48 for Kawhi
And the Raptors are 13 - 3 without him while the Pelicans are 4 - 10 without AD.
There's a strong case for Davis over Kawhi if we're looking at stats and how teams have done without them. Replace the two and the Raptors are still successful and the Pelicans are still average.

All-NBA is about individual performance, and AD has played better on both offense and defense than Kawhi. What more do you want ?

have you guys been following the nba lately
AD's season is over. his reputation is ruined. the pelicans don't have a farts chance in the wind at making the playoffs and he's gonna probably average between 6-10ppg the rest of the way

1st
Giannis
PG13
Jokic
2nd
Durant
Kawhi
Embiid
3rd
Gobert
LeBron
Blake
AD would have been on at least the 2nd team, but I can't put him on any team given the last month or so. Blake has had a resurgent year and a there is a decent chance the Pistons make the playoffs, so he gets the third spot.
