The Rockets looked as dangerous as ever and still LOST
Think about it. The team shoots most of their shots from the 3. That

rockets play like this all the time bru, they had nothing "going for them", this is them..
gsw vulnerable, struggling? they played their game too.
in fact, loney and iggy played way out of skin compared to regular season.

how did they not push a game 7? The GSW bench will just observe and pick up the pieces. That's how they make you play their basketball.

Re: The Rockets looked as dangerous as ever and still LOST
Rockets are too much of a iso centered team. Harden is afraid to take matters in his own hands when it matters most. But ISO teams can't beat GS because their defensive schemes and players are too good. To beat GS you have to play as a team and have multiple options to score. Even without KD, they are still the best team in the league.

Re: The Rockets looked as dangerous as ever and still LOST
That was the best chance Rockets ever had of defeating the Warriors, and they blew it. Warriors dynasty will break apart within a year, especially if KD leaves. They will still be deadly with Steph/Klay/Green trio, but the bigger issue is with CP3 aging and his contract.. CP3 is going to be the downfall of the Rockets because his contract makes it very difficult to sign depth. If he was young still, it would be fine but he is injury-prone now at his age so he certainly needs depth backing him. They will have to go deep into the luxury taxes to have any chance but it still won't be enough. Maybe a trade but who do you trade for and with what? Eric Gordon and Capela are their main trade pieces. Tucker too but his contract is very good - why give that up?
Next 3 years of CP3 contract: $38.5m, $41.3m, $44.2m. What the hell do you do with that, especially for someone who is injury-prone last 3 years? He will certainly become more injury-prone next few years.

Re: The Rockets looked as dangerous as ever and still LOST
That was last year.
65 wins
#1 seed
Conference finals
Homecourt advantage
Up 3-2
That was their chance and they blew it.
This year's team clearly wasn't as good.

imo next year is their last chance if kd leaves. Maybe can squeeze out one last decent year from Paul and hope someone like House gets better. as we saw, it's still a decent chance GS could beat them.
