The Spurs defense limited the Wizards to 79 points on 36.3 percent (33-91) shooting, an opponent-low for the season. It was the fifth time this season the Silver and Black have limited an opponent to under 90 points and the third time San Antonio has held an opponent to under 40.0 percent shooting from the field. Through nine games the Spurs rank second in the NBA in opponent points per game (90.1 ppg) and fourth in the league in opponent FG percentage (.424).
