    Oh, there's plenty!

This thread is killing both the threads for #6 & #7 on activity long after it's been closed to voting. See, for all the talk of popularity contests and "it's just a forum" we see that the Top 5 is extremely coveted and people are angry about it because Bird beat Wilt.

    And ity gets worse, too.

Kareem won ONE rpg title in his 20 seasons, and he barely beat out the 6-9 Cowens to do it. Players like the 6-7 Unseld and the 6-7 Silas were challenging him.

Chamberlain won ELEVEN rebounding titles in his 14 seasons (and had he not been injured in '70, he surely would have won #12.)

Kareem was ROUTINELY outrebounded in the post-season. Unseld, Wilt twice, Moses (by TEN per game), hell, his teammate and GUARD Magic was outrebounding him.

Meanwhile, Chamberlain just CRUSHED his peers in the post-season. 29-29 in his 29 post-season series.

I have seen many lists that rank Brown as one of the all-time greatest athletes, and yet, those same "lists" usually ignore Chamberlain.

Brown was a great football player, a great track athlete, and a great lacrosse player (whatever that was.)

Chamberlain was an even more dominant basketball player, perhaps FASTER and MORE athletic than Brown, by the middle of the 60's was stronger, according to Hank Stram was All-Pro material in football, was an exceptional volleyball player, and has two legitimate contracts to fight Ali.

Wilt also ran marathons and had legitimate NBA contract offers even to 50 years of age.

Wilt at #13 was an absolute joke. Wayne Gretzky owns something like 69 hockey records. Chamberlain's could easily be in the HUNDREDS depending on just how far you want to carry scoring streaks. And had blocked shots, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds, percentages, et.al been tracked, he would likely have dozens more.

Of course where is Kobayashi the hot-dog eater on that stupid list?

Even as ridiculous as that list was, it beats your Top- lists? Wilt is at least #2 on THAT list.

Wayne Gretzky should have been Top 3, at least, on both of those lists.

SRR is the GOAT pugilist IMO. Well, Clay can always have the 2nd spot.
