That deal was never going to happen anyways. Nobody wants to do the Knicks a favor and eat their salary cap up so they can get Nash. I'd much rather the Suns get nothing at all out of losing Nash and simply use his capspace to sign free agents than take on the garbage that was supposedly offered...

It wasn't about doing the Knicks a favor. It was about doing Steve Nash a favor. Jordan and Gadzuric have non guaranteed contracts and can be cut. It would have given the Suns a semi valuable player in Landry Fields, $3 million in cash, and Toney Douglas who is expiring and still has some value, all in exchange for Nash getting an extra $7 million per year. As it is, the Knicks can still get Nash, but he would only make $3 million.

Because I think that Raps think that Nash truly wants Knicks, even for some less money. But Nash won't go there for $ 3 million.

And actually, if my math is correct, the Raptors do NOT have cap space to sign Fields AND make Nash $12 million offer. They'll have to amnesty someone, probably Calderon, to make it happen.
