Kobe's legacy has taken some big hits in the last 5 years
Since winning b2b, his legacy has had a tough time:
- swept with HCA in 2011 Playoffs, choked 4th quarter Game 1 and missed the game-winning 3 that rattled out
- horrible 4th quarters against OKC in the 2012 Playoffs
- 2013 season, started out putting up 30/5/5 on near 50/40/90 shooting, team is dropping one game after another, then he goes into Kobe Johnson mode and has a legendary post-ASB run, tears achilles
- Duncan all of a sudden is looking healthy and has a comeback year, nearly leads Spurs to a win over Miami to win his 4th Finals MVP, until Heat have a miraculous comeback and Bran adds a title and FMVP to his name
- Plays 6 games before another season-ending injury in 2014
- Spurs win the title and Duncan catches up on the ring count
- Plays less than half a season before ANOTHER season-ending injury
- Gasol is now leading Bulls to Playoff wins, recent one being 21 pts 11 reb on 60% shooting on the road against Cleveland
This shyt is just sad. Kobe stans are taking L's every season since 2009-10.
Went from being compared to Mike and getting ranked top 5 all-time by analysts and peers to barely holding on to top 10

people honestly shouldnt worry about stuff like that.....
Gonna be interesting to see Kobe play with Jordan Clarkson and whatever the Lakers manage to get next season. Will he chuck, take a step back, return to form.

Not really. Legacy was pretty much set after the second 2peat.

Expect him to look like he did the last time he played at Sacramento
one bricked jumper after another.

Or fake an injury so he doesnt have to play on a bad team? Again

Even his b2b was overrated 6-24 anyone?
You could say his entire career post-Shaq was mediocre

so his legacy took a hit post prime? LMAO once you leave your prime your legacy cant really be changed. look at duncan, his ring last year was post prime so it doesnt really affect his legacy in the big picture according to most bball experts just like losing in the 1st round this year doesnt negatively affect duncans legacy.
kobes legacy was cemented when he won his 2nd title without shaq.

Wouldnt put the 2011 and 2012 clutch on him too hard. Love Kobe but Dirk and KD are better clutch players

nikka?
When was Duncan in his prime? Like 2005? He was talked about as borderline top 10 player about 5 years ago in that same tier with Hakeem, and even then people was saying Hakeem is better (we all know peak Hakeem is better)
then, Duncan went to 2 more NBA Finals and was carried to his 5th ring, now all of a sudden the media tells us how the Spurs are a dynasty and how great Duncan is and how he's top 5 and shit.
So obviously his legacy has improved thanks to the two Finals runs, even though he wasn't putting up elite numbers.
