Will there be another 6'6 wing player who is the best player in league?
Before Lebron and Durant (6'8 and 6'9). The best player in the league was considered to be shorter but skilled wings, like Kobe 6'6 (in the discussion), and even before that Jordan 6'6.
There doesn't seem to be a 6'6 elite wing now. Closest is Harden, but he is never in the discussion of being the present best player in the league, plus his playing style is ugly. Only Lebron and Durant is debatable Trend seems to favor the taller small forwards who can do it all now... (Paul George and Melo)
Even in the future, Andrew Wiggins (6'8 SF), is expected to continue the trend. We might likely see the death of the super-skilled 6'4-6'6 wing. (Harden not on that level, Wade/Ginobili already old)

do they have to be 6-6
if so i'd say probably not... just with the way the rules are today favoring point guards.
teams are stocking up on ball dominant scoring points.
the days of the PG that stands in the corner shooting threes ( ala kerr/fisher ) are over
its the evolution of the game for SG's to go back to their traditional place as a guy who's a role player/shooting specialist or defensive role player with athleticism
we might not see another SG like kobe or jordan for a while

As of now, I don't see anybody on the horizon. The SG spot depth wise is as down as it has been in a long time. And as u mentioned all the premier SF's are 6'8 and up, many which actually play some PF in addition to SF. Even historically, the only players who were 6'6 and the best player in the L were MJ and Kobe. In Big O's era, Wilt was always regarded as the best. In Dr. J's era, Kareem or Moses was considered the best. Usually the best player in the L was a big man (C or PF) OR a perimeter guy (Lebron, Bird, or Magic) who had the size and could play the PF.

Never. The league is changing. 6'8-7'0 wing players will be the Nuts going forward, until they change the rules in a noticeable way.

2000-2005 alternated between Shaq and Duncan. Tmac was probably the best in 2003
2006 it was Dirk/Wade/LeBron
2007 Duncan/LeBron
2008-2014 in was LeBron
