Default Olympian Bruce Jenner interviewed about becoming a woman

The interview is tonight and for those that don't know or remember who he is, he was a great athlete and a fellow American. He competed in the Olympics and was a hero to many.

    Respect.

A gold medalist in Decathlon, one of the most celebrated athlete of our time.

    Great documentary about him.

I thought it was a "she" now? You're referring to it as if it's a man.

I hope that this leads to transgender people becoming much more accepted in society. Having a big name like Bruce Jenner transition is a huge thing.

Only problem is he is part of a highly dysfunctional and criticized family. Also, we need people who appeal more to the conservatives. Hopefully Larry the Cable Guy transitions.

Good for him I guess. But I don't find it easy to divorce this personal decision with how his family life is a public circus. I don't know of anybody who "respects" or holds the kardashians or jenners etc with particularly high regard. Aside from Bruce being an olympian, I honestly couldn't tell you what any of them have contributed to the world.

I doubt that anyone who wanted to become a tranny or whatever is suddenly going to be affected because of this dude.

    "It's becoming more acceptable"

Not really...Part of the reason why his face is on so many tabloids is because it's such a scandalous and absurd situation for most people. Aside from this dude, and a few corners of the internet obsessing over trannies, I can't imagine an open tranny running for any sort of public office, holding any respectable position, and not being a social pariah.

    Oh my gosh

All jokes aside, I would jump off the George Washington bridge before I went on TV and do what he did.

Just watching this right now. Props to him for being able to do this shit. I cannot imagine what he is going through. He was a beast in his prime.

He is truly an American hero.

Even though I will remember him as this....

To be fair though he had to acknowledge it in some way, if he didn't get on top of the situation imagine what the press would run with if left to their own devices when he starts transitioning. Takes courage but he chose to live in the public eye when he signed on to their reality show
