My personal feeling is DWill stays a Net, then Dwight joins him next summer or sooner.

It does make sense that the Lakers are making calls. They couldn't get anything done draft day, and maybe finally Buss feels that DWill is as good a piece to build around as Bynum, and that a DWill, Kobe, Gasol, Lopez team is better than what they have now. They realize Gasol wasn't going to get you DWill but Bynum might, and it's getting down to the nitty griity here time wise.

Bynum is from Jersey, so pretty good chance they lock him up long term. Lopez is from Cali, and I'm sure he'd relish playing for the Lakers. DWill may feel that this Lakers team has a better chance of winning than the current Nets, or the current Mavs.

Again, this only happens if DWill threatens to walk to Dallas as a FA.

Also, this poster did call the deal off the table for Ariza and Artest coming to LA deal.

Interestingly enough, in college and in his first few years in the NBA, Brook was a very good defender and rebounder. I actually always thought he'd be a good compliment to Gasol back then (this was before Bynum came on). He seemed like he'd be a very good 15-10 kind of player. Then he kind of blew up, and became a scorer, and his D and rebounding suffered.

Maybe if locked up long term on a team he'd really like to play for, he'd step back a little on offense and concentrate more on his D/rebounding etc. in which case he'd again be a good complimentary player. He's a high IQ guy and good passer too.

I still think DWill stays put though and this is a longshot.

Yeah but anyone hardly ever does.. Sure some people would waste their time doing it, but this is a big forum and it isn't out of the realm that there are people here that know somebody within an NBA team.
